Question 1:

 

Using PremierePro CS5 to set some Encore-Markers and DynamicLink to Encore to create menu:

Using the same project, the behaviour is quite different:

 

for Dvd : Encore-markers behave like Chapters, so I can use the player remote control to go to next chapter (even it is not defined in the menu)

               that is very handly function.

 

for Bluray : Encore-markes behave like Titles and not Chapters, so I cannot use the player remote control to jump to next Encore-markers

 

I just looking for references to understand and do the correct ajustments.

Question 2:

 

Using PremierePro CS5 to add a still picture and scroll it up in slow motion:

Using the same project, I understand that Bluray is far better than DVD:

 

for Bluray : the scrolling of the still picture is smooth (it's very pleasant with texts too)

 

for Dvd : the scrolling is jumpy (texts are dizzy and not readable)

 

Is there any fix for that (.....something like PremierePro option to smooth it out a little (result little burry) or ... something like ...deinterlacing ?)

Made avi's in Premiere Pro cs5. When we import them to Encore cs5 and try to Transcode they come up with Encode Failed error.

 

What is our fix? Trying to encode in Adobe Media but that doesn't always work either.

I normally export Widescreen AVI from PProCS5 after editing either AVCHD or MOV from a Canon SX510 and have had zero Encore problems

 

What are your PPro export settings, and what are the details about your computer hardware and Windows version?

Created a flash DVD and have had it play normally from a web server as well as from hard drives on several computers.

On some other computers and tablets however, the controls that appear at the bottom of the presentation can not be accessed.

I have tried several different browsers, updated flash player and more without success. Why does this work on one machine and not another similarily configured machine?

Does that mean you can't even SEE the controls at the bottom of the screen?

 

If yes, what is the screen resolution of the "bad" computers versus the "good" computers?

Thanks John,

We did some checking on resolution but found that if we had a mouse connected (didn't work with touch screen) we could left click and hold to get the controls to appear. All buttons work except the option to go full screen. If any body has a solution for that...

The world will once again be a nice place!

I would skip Dynamic Link and export proper assets out of PP for use in authoring.

How do I open an Encore file that Encore fails to recognize? File is there.  Also, cannot send a Premier Pro project to Encore via Dynamic Link.

Slight update, YouTube didn't quite like the format as specified by the Wikipedia page for SubViewer file format.  The following regex makes YouTube happy.

 

Find: ^\d+\s((\d{2}):(\d{2}):(\d{2}):(\d{2}))\s((\d{2}):(\d{2}):(\d{2}):(\d {2}))\s(.*)$

Replace: $2:$3:$4.$5,$7:$8:$9.$10\n$11\n

Jeff, I have a smaller project, 4 menus, 31 Timelines and several slideshows.The timelines have small video clips, but no audio. However, I got the same error message: "Uexpected files were found in the Audio_TS directory." Do you have an idea of what is causing the error? I'm at the end of the project and I need to deliver this DVD. Please help! Thanks,

Stan, the DVD is divided in 4 menus, and it includes 25 presentations. The presentations are made up of slideshows (sometimes with only one slide) and 31 timelines (the timelines have only one video). I ended up creating this many slideshows because when the video stops it supposed to show the last frame until the presenter clicks for the next slide (all the presentations are advanced manually)

 

To give you an idea, In some cases, for example, there is a slideshow (with only one slide), a timeline (with only one video), another slideshow (with only the last frame of the previous video) followed by another timeline (with only one video).

 

Some slideshows are 1, 2 or 3 slides long. Others are 50 or 60 slides.

 

I wonder if is possible to create larger slide shows (keeping them under 99 slides per slideshow) and use slides "selectively" in different parts of the same presentation (something like switching on and off different slides from the same slideshow).

 

I'm just thinking, Is it possible to stitch all the videos in a longer timeline and play parts of it in different presentations?

When I try to open an Encore file, I get a message saying that the

folder does not exist.  The folder does exist.

The issue with DL is the same.  If I try to send a project from PP to

Encore via DL, I get the same error message.  If I open the Encore file

as the administrator, the open Encore file will not load the PP project

via DL.

What version of Encore? Slideshow particulars changed with CS6.

 

But I don't thnk you are running into the 100VTS max.

Can you open Encore and create a new project (not dynamic link)?

When I try to open an Encore file, I get a message saying that the

folder does not exist.  The folder does exist.

This is usually because the relationship between the Encore project file and its folder have changed - either moved or renamed.

If I try to send a project from PP to Encore via DL, I get the same error message.   

But that is odd, and  points to permissions issues. If you want to use dynamic link, run Encore as administrator, and dynamic link from Encore.
