Encore CS5.1, Issue burning onto 8.5GB DL DVD u... | Adobe Community
First I'd like to say, I've been using Encore for years, and I've made plenty of DVDs and blu-rays from scratch, so I pretty much know how to use the program. This is my first time creating something with a motion menu. The issue I'm having is, when the blu-ray starts (I mean on an actual blu-ray player, not in preview), the buttons on the main menu (which is a motion menu) are inaccessible until I hit "top menu" on my remote. Also, after I do hit top menu, it freezes for a moment after less than 10 seconds (the motion menu is supposed to loop at 00:03:07:00), and the motion menu restarts, going back to where I have to hit top menu on my remote again. So I basically have no control over the main menu until I hit top menu, then I only have control for a few seconds, before it resets again. Why is this happening? How do I fix this issue? I'm using the last version of Encore CS6. Thanks in advance.
The loop point is the point where your buttons appear.
No. The buttons don't appear after the loop point. I've let it loop 5+ times, and after the loop, it's the same thing. No buttons are accessible until I hit top menu, then it resets after 10 seconds.
What I mean is when you say the motion loops at 3 minutes and change, I wondered if you had set the loop point at that point. That might produce what you are seeing.
Ok. Definitely something wrong. Create a test project and bring in an Encore menu with motion.Crib? Does that work?
I assume all worked ok in Encore preview.
Those are oddly named assets in the motion assets. What is the source?
The important part is in the note. What does it say?
"fatal error" code "6", Note:"
This is all that is showing on the screen
Trying to burn a project to a Blu-ray disc. Keeps coming up "fatal error" code "6", Note:"
Any ideas?
Thank you

This is the only link I have, which may not be for your Encore problem
Code 6 http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/errors-exit-code-6-exit.html
Also, to burn a double layer DVD or a Blu Ray you MUST right click the program and select Run as Administrator from the Windows option list
Try building to an image. You'll probably get the error, but it is a helpful troubleshooting step.
I had a chance to look at the other code 6 errors. No example of such an error with no text on the note.
The other code 6 errors are various buffer underflows, which might be fixed by lowering datarate. Can you tell us more about the project?
I am reviving this post as I had the "Blu-ray Object: “_____”, Export file not found." Error today while trying to update a project from my archives.
After some experimentation, I found a fix for this. It seems that encore has trouble with projects that have been recalled from archive in which the file paths have changed etc.
Here's my fix. It's not pretty, but it works just fine.
- reimport and place your audio.
- in the preferences change the media cache folder to a new location.
- in the preference, clean the media cache database.
