That is the expected behavior for Encore. While many users would prefer something else, many Adobe programs take and keep the focus, and do not continue playback if you switch to another window.

Encore is an EDITING program, not a simple playback program

To EDIT you are expected to be looking at the program screen

As Stan said, that is the way Encore is designed to work

Hello,

I have a problem with a DVD author that I am doing in Encore cs6.

My author has different audio tracks:

Track 1 Spanish

Track 2 English

Track 3 Catalan

Track 4 Frances.

I correctly name each audio track with the software but when I record it and see it on my DVD player when I change the audio tracks, Track 1 identifies me as Spanish but the rest (Track 2,3 and 4) gives me an unknown track. it does not identify the language it is in spite of indicating it in Encore.

What I can be doing wrong?

I would greatly appreciate your help

I am not at home and can't send links. This problem reported as early as CS5/2011, but not consistent and no pattern.

I just tested a simple project and got your results.

I am creating a DVD with 5 timelines 2 of the 5 timelines won't play the audio tracks but video plays fine. They were all made on the same edit but created different sequences. I tried clearing and reimporting the edits both as a timeline and just as an asset. All the edits play in Premier pro.

What kind of assets are you importing into Encore? Ideally, export from Premiere using the MPEG-2 DVD preset, which provides separate audio and video files as .wav and .m2v clip. No expectation of audio issues if you do it that way, as these are the exact file types Encore wants. Any other format, who knows what will happen? And as Encore WILL need to transcode any files that are not DVD-compliant, no sense giving it anything else and encoding twice, just create the right stuff to begin with.

I'm try to download encore dvd from Creatve Clouds, no problem for Premiere Pro CS6, but do not exist Encore DVD!

When you install Premiere Pro CS6, you also install Encore CS6. You will not see a button to run it in the Creative Cloud. If necessary, look in your program files.
