The translation is not good. I hope I understand.
Maximum number of buttons vary by menu type:
DVD, 4:3 menu = 36 buttons
DVD, 16:9 menu = 18 buttons
Blu-ray menu = 32 buttons
With a widescreen menu, use 2 menus. The most common workflow is one menu with a button to "chapters," then 2 chapters menus.
Re: We will have a USB DVD ENCORE
Does adobe have another recommended way to author DVD's aside from Encore?
Re: "An output contract violation has occurred" PLEASE HELP!
I receive this error, prefaced with the error
adobe/mediaCore/Backend/Src/Content/AudioMediaContent.cpp-570
when queueing my Premiere sequence to Adobe Media Encoder and/or clicking on various After Effects linked sequences.
I did a clean uninstall of all Adobe products and reinstalled.
Then I deleted all my linked AE comps and successfully queued to AME.
Now I'm testing re-importing the AE comps and testing again.
Re: We will have a USB DVD ENCORE
Even though Encore is end-of-life, it is still the only Adobe application for making DVDs and Blu-rays.
Search this forum for "alternatives" and you will find threads discussing non Adobe applications.
Re: We will have a USB DVD ENCORE
Thank you for the info! That search has been quite helpful....
Not happy at the prospect of learning a new software...and I'm a bit suspect of all the reasonable options. I fear they won't do what encore did for me. But I'll give it a go!
I saw a lot of options in the cheap to mid range...if you know of any links to people discussing higher end authoring software packages I'd be most grateful
Re: "An output contract violation has occurred" PLEASE HELP!
Just to confirm: you are using Encore, the DVD/Blu-ray authoring app?
What OS?
Re: We will have a USB DVD ENCORE
See Neil Wilkes several posts in this thread:
Resulting DVD build image is smaller than combined size of video and audio assets
Hi. It has happened a couple times now. I import a timeline of video/audio that is 4GB in size for making a DVD image in Encore, and the resulting image file results in a 3.3GB size file. All the content is there, all the audio is there. What causes this to happen?
Thank you.
Re: Resulting DVD build image is smaller than combined size of video and audio assets
What is transcode status of what you import?
If your screen is showing that the video needs to be transcoded (it is not 'legal' to go on a DVD) Encore will transcode, and that will probably mean a smaller size

save a project as a template in encore
Hi
Is there a way to save a project as a template in Encore? I have created my project and all is fine but I want to make a couple of discs using the same project but with different contents, video, sound, pics and so on.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Peter
Re: save a project as a template in encore
I just searched through the PDF manual
You can create your own menu and save it as a template
I find to mention at all of a project template
What I did a long time ago was create a project with all of my desired settings (I only use video from one camera, so setting my project to the video settings I use was an easy decision... for me) and then I saved that project
Now, when I'm ready for a new project I open my 'default' project and do a 'save as' to start my new work
Re: save a project as a template in encore
John's method is the only way in Encore. And it can work well.
Keep in mind that Encore is very unforgiving. If you make lots of changes in the project, it risks corruption. It is sometimes worth it, once you have the first project set, to redo it without any changes, then "save as" that one.
For only 2 or 3 related projects, I gamble.

Hey Thanks .... bummer but will do ... Just a little foolin' around

Encore timeline updated but BD still contains old timeline.
When I edit a Pr CS6 timeline (and update it in En using 'Revert to Original') the subsequent BD still contains the old timeline. I have tried deleting the transcoded and cashed media files but to no avail. I'm producing a disc image with Encore and burning it to BD with Roxio Creator NXT Pro 2. The output just fits a 25GB disc. Windows 7, 32GB RAM, GTX1080. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Are you using dynamic link and transcoding in Encore?
