Hi,
Yes I have built BD projects with El Capitan and Encore 5.1. Each about 2 1/2 hours long.
Let me explain about the menus I am using.
I bought some Encore Menus from a 3rd Party a few years back. Those are the menus that I used to make the BD Projects I mentioned in the first sentence. They worked fine.
It's been a few years since I made a BD Project in Encore 5.1.
A few days ago I made an Standard MGEG 2 DVD, 2 hours long in Media Encoder, using Encore 5.1 and El Capitan and that worked fine. (I used those same 3rd Party Menus I used a few years back). When it was done, Instead of burning the disc from Encore I built an ISO file and Burned that using Toast.
I then encoded the same 2 hour timeline I made this past week, to an H.264 Blu-Ray file. I imported that in the same project that I had the Standard MPEG 2 in. I deleted the Standard Version and replaced it with the H.264 Blu-Ray version. Then I re-linked all of the Buttons to chapters.
Once that was done, I set it up so it will make an ISO again. When I pressed "Build" it started to do its thing and then it stopped and the error came up "Photoshop File Error -1." I pressed ok then it would not do anything.
So, with the H.264 still on the timeline, I deleted all of the 3rd party menus and picked one that came with Encore just as a test, I linked up a few Buttons to chapters, Checked the project and pressed "Build."
This time it worked great. No error messages.
Why?
Why would the 3rd party menus work fine on Standard MPEG 2 this time around and have an error when I used an H.264 Blu-Ray? How can I tell which one of the 3rd Party menus is corrupt or has something wrong with it?
Thanks in advance.
