I've copies the EncoreContentEnglish files into the Adobe Encore CS6 folder,
Into what folder? There are numerous folder inside the Encore installation.
The category folders (General, corporate, etc) should be inside the Library folder inside the main Encore program folder
You can also change the locatioan Encore looks to, but I would try to keep it to that location.
