Since I like to let Encore do "automatic" transcoding (to make a "best fit" of my video to single or dual layer DVD) I export to Widescreen DV AVI
Doing that export, I am not allowed to change the default Scale to Fit setting...the option is inactive... this is with PPro CS5.0.3
So, it appears that when going from AVCHD to AVI instead of MPEG2-DVD I will simply have to live with thin side bars
