I am making masters to be sent out for duplication. These will be played in DVD players as well as Windows and Mac based computers. I have been using Encore 5.1 to create and image, then use that image to burn 2 DVD Masters (one for us, one for duplicator). I recieved an email from the duplicator saying the DVD's are packet written and that this could cause problems with older DVD players.
To my knowledge there is no where in Encore to cloose between "packet-written" and "track-at-once" but I could be wrong.
Also they seem to duplicate much slower than a standard DVD, is this because they are packet-written? Would a "track-at-once" DVD burn/duplicate faster because it is one continuous burn of the laser rather than individual data packets?
Thank you Image may be NSFW.
