I ended up keeping Premiere 7.1 but hanging on to two versions of the Adobe Media Encoder (7.01 and 7.1). The only problem seems to be with encoding H264 for Blu-ray in 7.1. I use the 7.01 AME for that and the newer 7.1 for everything else.
