Gaps may occur. Some of this is related to how the physical disk is read, so you don't know until you burn a disk and try it. Yes, starts at chapter 3 and plays through 4 to end.

I assume you exported from Aegisub, specified Encore, and saved as a .txt. It is a .txt you import to Encore. What is in the file? Can you post a couple lines?

Ah. I think you have been importing this like a timeline or asset. Right click in the subtitle track area; pick "Import Subtitles."
