Re: Create a disk with Encore CS6 from PP CC sequences : bullshit

Hi,

Many thanks for your answer and help.

My actual process to "built" blu-ray disks is the one explained by the

tutorial "PP CC to Encore CS 6".

But the problems appeared when the complete project is done :

- 1) if I use the default picture within the animated buttons of menus :

some buttons flashed in red,

- 2) with submenus I observe : first page OK, the loop works correctly,

but if I check the second submenu the loop does not work normally : one

second black screen before resume, after checking the related vidéo

file, it appeared OK without black at the end. This appeared only when

the BD is burned and is very difficult to see with the "Menu Preview"

within Encore CS 6. I discovered it when watching the disk on my TV,

fortunately I used BD-RE until the disk is perfect.

- 3) the actual process (export from PP CC to AME CC then import in

Encore CS 6) is crazy because we need to transcode before the import

sequences, so in case of mistake within one sequence it is NECESSARY to

retranscode, reimport and rebuilt the flowsheet : this is a large lost

of time and source of new mistakes.

- 4) with menus with animated buttons, they must be rendered for the

preview, but if the Encore project is closed after saving but before

"build" of final disk, the render of menu is lost (Encore does not

recover the files which are still on HDD.

Hi,

The menu is a picture not a video so the menu length depends of the

audio length.

Question : why the first submenu works well when the second submenu does

not work welle, both were built with the same structure ?

Are these multipage menus? I got that idea from one of the other posts, and there are limitations on preview, and backgrounds.

Why the first menu works well but not the second ?

Works well or do not works well, that is the question ?

The menus are the following :

- main menu from standard Adobe Library : "Classical HD",

- submenus from standard Adobe Library : both "Classical submenu HD"

To be more complete : all buttons work normally, the only differences

are the menus loops :

- correct display with the first submenu without blank or black screen

at the end of the loop,

- one or two seconds black display and "hightlight" of the default

selected button at the end of the loop of the second submenu (appears

only with the blu-ray disk watched on the TV).

The menus are not "multipage". The only difference between both menus are :

- three buttons and audio length about 1'12" for the first menu,

- two buttons and audio length about 1' for the second.

Both background are pictures (jpg files resized to 16x9, 300 dpi (square

pixels)).

Missing sound at the begining of chapter

I built a blu-ray disk with the following flowsheet (this flowsheet is OK according the "check project" feature) :

Flowsheet.jpg

After the disk burning (with Nero 12 Burning Rom, not with Encore CS 6 which generates a well known error not fixed by Adobe), the "read first" before main menu is an AME transcoded sequence from PP CC. This sequence has an audio track, but only with the final burned blu-ray disk, the sound begins after about four or five seconds, not at the begining.

I checked the "montage" in Encore and the related .m2ts file in the BDMV directory : both are OK.

Is this a bug or if not where is the mistake ?

Encore does not start after Content installation (MAC version)

Hi, sometime ago I tried to use PP Ccv + Encore CS 6 on my i-Mac (I generally use my PC).

After the download and installation of Encore contents, I was unable to start aby jib with Encore : the launch remained pending at the half starting process.A message from OS-X (Maverick updated) indicated that Encore was waiting a Thunderbolt connection which does not exist on my i-Mac.

If I uninstalled the Encore content, Encore started and worked normally.

I sent a "bug report" but now : it seems like a bottle in the ocean.

You do know that CS6 is not, and will not be, supported for Mavericks?

http://www.adobe.com/products/encore/faq.html

Adobe/Jive have a BAD title for the SEARCH THIS FORUM function

Go back to http://forums.adobe.com/community/encore and, in the area just under Ask a Question, type in

maverick
or
mavericks
or
10.9

You may now read previous discussions on this subject... be sure to click the See More Results at the bottom of the initial, short list if the initial list does not answer your question

Do the same at http://forums.adobe.com/community/premiere for more ideas

I don't do BluRay, but I **think** I've read something to the effect that it takes "awhile" for the player to "lock on" to the signal... put a few seconds of "black" at the beginning of your first play item so the player can lock on

Hi,

I am sorry but Encore CS 6 has a Mac version which start and work with

Mavericks : I tried it.

But after the installation of Encore Content (Mac version) Encore did

not start.

Pehaps, the content is not compatible for Mavericks (10.9)

Odd problem.

By Encore content, I assume you are referring to the Encore Library?

We've had no reports of the library causing such an issue with mavericks (and not with any other os). Since the problem is related to "Encore was waiting [for] a Thunderbolt connection," I suspect an issue with the location of the content or a permissions issue related to it.

Make sure you are using the library from the default location (on PC it is Programs/Adobe/Encore CS6/Library), and that the permissions for that folder are correct.

Can someone recomend a DVD publishing program, besides encore?

Can someone recomend a DVD publishing program, besides encore? Installing cs6 just to insall Encore, then uninstall cs6 seems strange to me.

I am new to the Adobe family.

Thanks

You install Premiere Pro CS6 to obtain the bundled Encore CS6... and then you MAY uninstall just PPro CS6 but keep Encore CS6... you are not required to uninstall PPro CS6

The end of reply page #5 in The PPro/Encore tutorial list http://forums.adobe.com/message/2276578 has more information, and a tutorial video

If you really don't want to use Encore CS6, a couple links...

I do NOT use these, so have NO idea if they will do what you need

Encore alternative http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/dvdastudio

Disable "Untitled Project" in Properties

Currently, I only use Adobe Encore to compile my DVD menus made in Photoshop.  Is there a way to disable the Untitled Project or naming scheme of projects so Encore will only output the VIDEO_TS folder instead?

Thanks!

Re: Disable "Untitled Project" in Properties

I'm not sure what you are trying to do.

Encore outputs the VIDEO_TS folder, and there is no name to the folder other than that.

You can name the project whatever you want.

Where is the name appearing that you are trying to avoid?

Re: Disable "Untitled Project" in Properties

I'm aware that Encore outputs the VIDEO_TS folder.  But it outputs Untitled Project > VIDEO_TS.  I'm trying to eliminate the Untitled Project folder altogether and have Encore only output the VIDEO_TS folder.

So, when I build my project, all Encore does is output the VIDEO_TS folder only (no untitled project folder or other name) to my hard drive.
