Not yet. Still hoping for a fix/work-around for this.
Thanks.
Adobe kept promising us that Encore would continue to at least run........and like many I still use it too. And I now am at the point where I have to install Windows 10 fresh and that means installing Encore from scratch just like the OP.
So it sounds like after 3 years it is the same deal. Install premiere pro, Encore might show up...uninstall Pr Pro....then install the rest of your Cr Cloud apps.
It just is beyond me that they could not even see their way clear to just re-write the installer and bundle it in the CC for us. Instead for 3 years we have to jump through these hoops. So all the complaining everyone did unfortunately changed nothing.
Anyway.....thanks for the info here. Sounds like it installs....and if you find the executeable you can run it. Is there a direct link for the CS6/Pr Pro installer? That might work better than trying to get it through CC? We can only hope it actually runs and creates discs. Please report back if it does.
I thought I remembered a promise from Adobe when CC came out that they would keep Encore running as windows updates and new OS versions came out.....

So i wonder if this is possible on a DVD in anyway people can play it on a DVD player?
Thanks for any idea :-)

I'm not sure I really understand the question
A "movie" DVD is designed to play a movie... a combination of video and audio
I don't know if the DVD specification provides for only audio... but maybe audio with a blank/black video track?
good evening... after files have been transcoded appears code 25...i' m using a 25gb bluray..so no dual layer...I run encore as administrator..transcode is automatic...i don't understand where is the problem..please help me..thanks
Thanks John! I appreciate your quick response :-)
Yeah i have made video with black on it so folks can play it on their DVD player and it worked...i just wondered if it could play just an audio section...and on the same DVD a video ( with the audio that goes with the video...or a regular video)
thought I remembered a promise from Adobe when CC came out that they would keep Encore running as windows updates and new OS versions came out.....
They dropped the page with the "end of life" announcement, but they promised nothing regarding the future. I think CS6 was technically only good through perhaps Win7, but the link on its readme page goes to a general page for CS6, which says Win8. That is almost certainly wrong, since Encore has had no updates since May and Sept 2012.
t just is beyond me that they could not even see their way clear to just re-write the installer and bundle it in the CC for us
I still believe that a) this is more challenging than it appears without creating problems with their licensing/activation system and b) more importantly, I suspect a licensing issue for then that a new installer would violate their agreement with Roxio/now Rovio. So they have to keep it as is. But since they don't even fix the "installer" for the Premiere Pro (and Encore) templates/libraries, it is hard to argue.,
I have never tried to create a timeline with audio and no video, so I have no idea if that will work in Encore or not
I am going to GUESS not, since Encore is designed around the DVD specification, and I've never seen a DVD with audio and no video
That doesn't mean you can't do that... so I suggest you see if you can create a timeline with audio and no video... and then report back
Thanks John!
At this point I think i will just do the black timeline as i know it :-)
I attempted to create a DVD with Video and Audio. Also, I placed an Audio only file on the Timeline. I am using Encore CS6. I was not able to create a DVD.
I don't see a problem. And that fits with Encore preview showing the flow correctly. You might have a corrupt project or Encore having lost track of updates. The latter can sometimes be corrected by clearing the caches. The corrupt project usually requiring starting over.
One difference, and one oddity. I'd change them and see if it matters. The first is having used a specific end action on the first button/trailer, rather than last menu?
The second is having an end action other than "stop" on the submenu. Are you timing it out to go back to the original menu? Sometimes changing that to "stop" can fix an odd problem.
Thanks for the reply.
Very sad.... So when I update my CD/DVD consumer burning software, I need to consider those that also provide some basic Blu-Ray and SD DVD menu/video burning capabilities so I can import video from my professional video editing software into my basic consumer DVD burning software in order to create a disc......
I've heard all of those assumed licensing arguments before.....They still could have fixed the installer so at least we had something to burn discs with.

I have a video with audio on my Timeline in Adobe Premiere Pro CC2014. On the Timeline in Premiere I also added an audio file only. Then I encoded the entire Timeline as an MPEG2-DVD file. I created a DVD. The video with audio and the audio only play on my DVD player.
Very cool Michael!
It is nice to know i can make one long audio DVD that people can listen to through their DVD player and TV and 7.1
If you can make one on Blu-Ray....thats a huge amount of music you could play
Thanks for experimenting :-)
Cheers,
Mark
PS i wonder if Chapters or playlists can be made with just audio as a MPEG2-DVD?
However, it is not possible to make a DVD with Audio only.
Bummer!....maybe just have a DVD with a short video intro and exit and hours of good music or talks in between
I don't understand the guesses and conclusions.
I just added a menu to a new project, then added a wav file as an asset, and used it to create an Encore timeline. Linked a menu button to the timeline. It works in Encore preview. It works when built to a DVD folder and played by total Media theater 6 and by VLC player.
Sorry Stan...i am editing another video right now so am speculating as i have not had the time to play yet :-)
